Advanced Photography / William Russell

This group of photographs is from one of William Russell's photographic series done in Advanced Photography.  These images show how William has come full circle in his study of photography.  These photographs were taken with a film camera at long exposures using flashlights and other low level light sources.  The images are printed dark and show only the highlights on objects.  This work harks back to the early days of photography and makes one aware of the very essence of the photographic art.
