Reflections of the Bay
Dale's Statement:
To me, the Bay is all about the little things; not the obvious ones, not the big scenic landscapes, all water and sky. It's about the washed up baskets, mangled crab pots, tiny barnacles, little bugs and beached sea life. For me, the Bay is all about reflections, the little things that make the Bay special.
I explore reflection in the Bay, through the patterns of water's reflection on boats, light invading the shadows, and the patterns seen through washed up objects.
There is beauty in the destructive power of the Bay. The mangled crab pot that washes ashore, still partially intact. The mutilated, bleached crabs that sit waiting for predators to come feast on their insides. All of these are what the beautiful Bay offers. It is her circle of life. and it is wondrous.
